I am an Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting in Boston, MA. NERA is a global firm of experts dedicated to applying economic, finance, and quantitative principles to complex business and legal challenges. In this role, I have conducted econometric analyses, manipulated datasets, prepared demonstrative exhibits, reviewed academic literature, drafted memos and expert reports, and mentored newly hired researchers. I earned my B.A. in Economics and History at Union College in Schenectady, NY, where I graduated summa cum laude. At Union, I conducted a significant amount of undergraduate research. In the Economics Department, I completed an honors senior thesis where I researched the county-level effects of recreational marijuana dispensaries on opioid overdoses in Colorado, culminating in an original research paper entitled “The Effects of Recreational Marijuana Dispensaries on Opioid Overdoses.” In this project, I manipulated and merged datasets, implemented a difference-in-difference model, and wrote a literature review. I presented my findings to an audience at the annual Union College Steinmetz Symposium. Previously, I completed a Summer Research Fellowship in Union's Economics Department, in which I researched the effects of Pell grants on postgraduate outcomes for low-income students, culminating in an original research paper entitled, “The Effect of Pell Grants on Postgraduate Outcomes.” In this experience, I worked with highly-confidential longitudinal data from the Department of Education, conducted a literature review, and utilized a regression discontinuity model.I completed a second senior thesis in the History Department, on the topic of apocalyptic thought across time, location, and culture.While attending Union, I gained experience as a legal intern at the Law Offices of Peter Katz, where I performed legal research and attended client meetings for cases featuring whistleblowing of major fraud, homicide, money laundering, and financial sector fraud. In addition, I served as a Teaching Fellow with AmeriCorps's Generation Teach program, a social justice teaching fellowship where I completed 350+ AmeriCorps service hours promoting academic excellence among disadvantaged middle-school students.At Union, I was a member of the Scholar's Program and Co-President of One for the World Union, a charitable organization aiming to inform students about effective altruism and eradicating global poverty. I was the IFC Philanthropy Chair for the school's fraternities and Philanthropy Chair for the Sigma Phi Society.
