My role, as Project Manager at Highmark Western New York Northeastern New York is to be the main point of contact for print-related projects in the Marketing and Communications department. The role requires determining if print jobs are able to be produced in our in-plant, digital print facility or if we need to work with an outside print vendor. The scope of projects are as varied as short run digital collateral to larger, commercial print projects to large format digital banners and signage to environmental graphics.I also manage, and maintain the internal online document management and print ordering system. This allows users from anywhere in the enterprise to place print orders for any of the documents within the library and have them produced on demand in the company’s two digital print centers.

As an instructor in Erie Community College’s Visual Communication / Graphic Arts and Printing program the coursework taught focuses primarily on the software and hardware technologies currently employed in the fields of graphic design and commercial printing. In addition to the those classes, I've also developed training programs and courses for faculty, staff and local companies for professional development. These courses are designed to teach students, currently working in the field, new and updated applications, professional techniques and technology, in very specific timeframes, not related to a 15-week college semester. Coursework revolves primarily around the use of the Adobe Creative Suite applications, web development, graphic design, technical production, digital and offset printing.

As an instructor, in both the Graphic Design and Interactive Media Design programs, at Bryant & Stratton College I taught courses focused on the creative aspects of design, while building a strong foundation in the practical application of professional techniques employed in the production of interactive and graphic design projects.While employed with the college I had the opportunity to review, rewrite and update the curriculum in the Interactive Media Design program as well as create advanced courses for a potential bachelor's degree program.

From the inception of Flying Bison Brewing Company in the late '90's until 2010 I was responsible for creating all of the graphics, artwork and print collateral used in the marketing, packaging and advertising for a small regional brewery located in Buffalo, NY. My role was to create and develop the branding associated with the portfolio of beers brewed by Flying Bison. I was also charged with locating and coordinating with vendors to produce packaging, labeling and marketing collateral.
