Worked as the head of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) office in the DRC, where he also served as Project Coordinator and Soil Scientist, researching on Integrated Soil Fertility Management in East, Central and Southern Africa.

Served as the Regional Agriculture Specialist at the Millennium Development Goals Centre in Nairobi, covering Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Malawi. Responsible for providing strategic foresight in agriculture interventions and reporting in MVPs within the east and southern Africa region, and supporting MVP sites in fund raising for specific agriculture interventions/initiatives, and advisong governments on the design and implementation of agricultural productivity improvement programmes,

Served as the focal person for the Millennium Villages Project at the Cluster Program and country levels, providing ongoing technical support to program design to ensure adherence to ‘Millennium Villages’ model across all sectors, providing oversight of the technical aspects of the project including backstopping data collection, analysis and reporting.
