Leading the delivery of large cladding packages ranging from £8m-£15m for this Teir 1 Contractor. My teams would comprise of a logistics and QA management department, Construction Managers, site and package managers, sizes of which varied dependant on project requirements. Subcontractors would include installation teams of 30-70 operatives, teams of surveyors and multiple specialist product specific contractors.Projects would typically involve Unitised and stickwork cladding systems, including membranes, insulation and fire break systems. Installation methodologies would include but not limited to, CantiDecks, monorails, slewing arms, Tower Cranes, Spider cranes, floor crane, vacuum suckers and Libros.Client team management, programme planning, installation methodologies, sequencing, variation negotiations, contract and risk management was key to this role.Working closely with the Latvian design team, engineering department and the factory was vital in the successful delivery of these large scale projects.

Being the lead Project Manager within the UK entity of the organisation I was responsible for delivering all projects for the company. Detailed knowledge of employer’s requirements, managing the design team ensuring client’s specification and tender information were crucial to the role. My job covered management of the supply chain, leading on procurement and installation. Responsibilities included handovers, QA management and budget reporting. Commercial awareness and the management of project budgets and payment applications were key to this role. Main body of works included, ETFE cladding, steel structures, composite cladding, louvres and rainscreen systems.

This role included managing architectural design packages through to construction status approval, leading teams on production design, fabrication and material delivery. I was the first point of contact for client teams, attending all design team meetings, client progress meetings, and commercial management meetings. This required weekly travel to the production facility in Germany to work with product delivery team to ensure all UK, Southeast Asian and Australian design deliverables were resourced, and material fabrication was coordinated to program. With a portfolio of 20-30 projects at any one time, I was required to liaise, and work closely with the project management team ensuring all relevant construction information was available whilst coordinating a smooth internal delivery process.
