CurrentI’ve spent the last 6 years of my life in the roofing and solar business. I started out running insurance claims for a roofing contractor, assisting homeowners in getting their claims approved, and their roofs replaced. While on the sales side, I also project managed all my jobs, and served as the regional field supervisor.I got into solar after working many roofs that had solar panels installed. I was in sales for many years, as a rep and a sales manager, before starting a team of my own reps that I recruited, and free lancing solar deals through a variety of installers. I’m now a proud partner at TAJ roofing and sheet metal, with our sister company FPS solar, being my primary day to day focus. With the push from insurance companies to drop policy holders, or increase their rates because of an older roof, we’ve found that not everybody has the financial means to pay cash for a roof in this unstable market. Solar offers no cash out of pocket financing, interest rates under 3%, and the homeowner’s can take advantage of the 30% renewable federal tax credit.
