I had the opportunity to complete my penultimate year university project in industry at Rolls-Royce Bristol as part of the Bath External Integrated Project scheme. My project focused on the life and integrity of critical parts in Rolls-Royce engines, with a focus on analysing different crack propagation and retardation models.

As part of my year in industry, I worked as a thermal analyst at Rolls-Royce - focusing primarily on the Trent 1000 TEN. Determining and explaining the temperature predictions required a high attention to detail, greatly improving my analytical skills. I also distilled my work into succinct reports for both engineers and summary findings for non-engineers within the company.During the year, I used Python to automate portions of my work - which helped to significantly cut analysis times.
