Development of competitive and consistent pricing for global and regional tenders• Clarify service requirements, and obtain relevant inputs, e.g., shipping profile, customer strategy, target prices, RFQ response guidelines, etc.• Lead conversations regarding the pricing strategy for each tender involved, providing solid justification of the approach to follow with the sales owners• Analyse profitability and rate levels for existing and potential business and pricing; benchmarking against competition and DHL pricing for other customers• Drive “deep dive” cost analysis to determine customer-specific costs to serve, e.g., special pickup, customer implants, dedicated linehaul, B2C service, value-added services, etc• Prepare consolidated prices in DHL rate card formats and customer/RFQ templates• Ensure consistency of pricing across customers, products, countries, weight breaks; and enforcement of pricing policies• Ensure documentation of final price proposals and communication to relevant stakeholders according to standards2. Performance of global and regional customer pricing• Perform analysis of bids won/lost, propose recommendations• Conduct post-implementation reviews of rate implementation, “ship to profile”, profitability• Perform “deep dive” profitability analysis• Support the implementation of GPI’s and introduction of new surcharges for global customers3. Improvements to the customer pricing processes• Development of tools, procedures and databases to systemize the tasks of rate setting, profitability analysis, benchmarking, and price simulation• Development and delivery of training on the customer pricing process, tools, and techniques• Lead complex costing analysis of global customers and ensure databases are maintained with the costing factors that are to be used in customer-specific pricing4. Provide advice and expertise to the pricing community and global organization• Act as a global/regional contact for customer pricing Show less
