With over 35 years of experience as senior civil servant as well as Policy Secretary in the Government, I am currently an Adjunct Professor at The University of Hong Kong and an Honorary Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am also an INED of Hang Seng Bank (China) and Vice Chairman of World Vision China. I also chair an Advisory Committee to oversee the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust Project on Supporting Elderly's Carers. I have a strong background in general administration, public administration, Mainland and governmental affairs, health and social welfare policies, and public service leadership. I hold a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Social Sciences majoring in Economics from HKU. I also studied at the University of Oxford for a year and the Chinese Academy of Governance. I am passionate about public service, education, youth development, and support for the vulnerables. I seek to leverage my expertise, experience and network to advance the public interest and foster dialogue and collaboration with a view to contributing to the development of Hong Kong and the Country for the betterment of the people.
