Researcher on multidisciplinary Computer-Human Interaction research for the design and safe use of interactive medical devices.Developed and implemented a web based tool for easily animating formal specification models of user interfaces (see www.pvsioweb.org).Led research in the design and analysis of number entry interfaces for use in the healthcare context. This research directly fed into the procurement decisions of Swansea NHS Trust.Led and executed an evaluation of 15 medical devices to advice the procurement committee in Northampton NHS Trust. This involved cordinating and engaging with four different international medical device manufacturers, executing a carefully planned evaluation of the safety and usability of the products and creating an easy to use interactive report for the procurement team of the NHS hospital.Conducted the largest evaluation of logs from infusion devices in the Welsh National Health Service. Insights from this informed maintenance of pumps across wards and training of nurses on the use of pumps.

Explored formal methods technologies for verification of user interfaces in safety critical systems.Developed a web tool https://github.com/thehogfather/pvsio-web for easily prototyping and animating formal specification of user interfaces. This tool is being piloted in the FDA for demonstrating requirement failures.Developed a web tool https://github.com/thehogfather/ProofExplorer (using D3.js) for interacting with proof trees generated in PVS.
