Alchemy Properties is a Real Estate Development firm focused on condominium construction in Manhattan and Brooklyn. As Controller, I provided leadership across a number of areas, including Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Risk Management. Finance and AccountingThis role is largely transaction/project focused, and centered on leading processes and teams while managing relationships with banking institutions and equity partners. From a financial reporting perspective, I lead the annual audits for any number of projects for both partners and projects, conducted by an independent accounting firm, and manage the annual filings of Federal and State tax returns for over 45+ entities. Oversee the day to day accounting for numerous ongoing projects. Through regular interaction with the Partners, I provide insight and prepare financial analysis that enable the company to focus on its development activities.HR & Risk ManagementThis role is largely focused on enhancing the HR function and mitigating risk across the organization. Through this role, I have managed the company’s payroll and employee benefits for up to 45 employees, while implementing a wide variety of benefits to the satisfaction of both employer and employee. Responsible for placing and managing the insurance on both a project and corporate level.
