Position held following the merge of previous employer Nearfield Systems Inc. and MI-Technologies.

Main responsibilities include:- Perform antenna measurements on various systems for contract testing services and internal research and development work.- Perform field service, system installation and validation for domestic and international customers.- Spherical, planar, cylindrical near-field measurements.- Provide on-site customer training on antenna measurement procedures, near-field theory, system use and maintenance.- Provide scripting support for end users and internal R&D projects.- Write and present technical papers for international conferences on antenna measurements.- Support sales and marketing team as technical point of contact for customer visits, sales proposals and tradeshows.

- Developed an automated process to estimate measurement errors in spherical near-field antenna measurements.- Wrote technical reports on master's thesis research work and gave presentations to sponsors.- Wrote technical papers for, and made oral presentations at, international engineering conferences including EuCap 2010, AP-S/URSI 2010 and AMTA 2010.

Completed two co-op work terms (Sep. 2007 - Dec. 2007 & May 2008 - Aug. 2008).- Performed thermal qualification and EMC tests to determine component reliability.- Completed signal integrity testing on new components in order to qualify them as suitable replacements/second source components.- Set up various network equipment (ATM, TDM) to replicate and troubleshoot known system failures.

Completed two co-op work terms (May 2006 - Aug. 2006 & Jan 2007 - Apr. 2007).- Performed numerous antenna qualification tests and calibrations in various anechoic chambers.- Tested a wide array of targets to determine their radar cross-section for clients.- Assisted senior technologists with intermodulation tests on passive components.- Assisted senior technologists with electromagnetic compatibility tests designed to determine radiated and conducted emissions.- Became very familiar with the concepts of near-field antenna measurements and processing.- Gained excellent knowledge of Visual Basic and VBScript by creating several scripts to support antenna measurement post-processing.
