This is achieved through negotiating special pricing offers, funneling business to our approved vendors to ensure volume rebates are attained, and by accurately recording and billing product placement fees for items included on the web and in our catalogs.I also maintain sales reports on a quarterly basis in order to track trends in product usage, organize pricing files to ensure their accuracy, and submit weekly progress reports to ensure department goals are being met. All of this information is uploaded to our corporate intranet site using Microsoft SharePoint so that it can be viewed, edited and maintained by National Pen team members.I am also in charge of compiling and maintaining the vendor contact list, arranging for visits from current and potential new vendors as well as conducting those product presentation meetings. In this role I advised them on course selection, helped them to obtain and review their transcripts, and provided the necessary review materials to take the industry certification exam. I am proud to say that over 107 individuals obtained their certification while I was OD Manager and an additional 57 have completed the requirements since. Countless others continue to work towards their certification because of the framework which I helped to build under this program.I also helped to facilitate training programs on Total Quality Management, Quality Management Series and was a trained leader for Geiger’s Outdoor Experiential Teambuilding center.
