Patrick Perez Vidauri is an independent film director and executive producer who believes that humor and satire can cure irony deficiency. His point of view was forged through his diverse upbringing and world travel. He grew up in the San Gabreil Valley of Los Angeles, and went on to study Anthropology at Columbia University in NYC, doing fieldwork in the Mayan region of Central America. He then studied Film Directing at UCLA Film School, where he was honored with a Student Emmy for his work. In the early 2000's Patrick began a collaboration with comedian, satirist and writer Esteban Zul and syndicated cartoonist/writer Lalo Alacaraz. For over a decade they could be heard together on the political satire comedy talk show "The Pocho Hour of Power" on 90.7 KPFK where they wrote and performed hilarious and timely sketch comedy with a Latinx point of view.Patrick creates dramas and comedies that examine the faultlines of America's cultural divides. His diverse experience include producing, editing, translating and directing. He taught Will Ferrell Spanish for his film CASA DE MI PADRE. He edited television for 15 years. He was a producer on the Netflix Doc, The Day I Met El Chapo; The Kate Del Castillo Story". He has directed 5 comedies with his work acquired by HBO, Samuel Goldwyn and others. His most recent Rom Com stars multiplatinum superstar Luis Fonsi in his first motion picture. As Executive Producer,Patrick is versed in structuring indie film offerings, fundraising, and sales strategies. He is currently working on a slate of films in various stages of development.He is represted by Matt Prater of Citizen Skill Management.
