Greetings, my name is Patrick C. Pickard. I currently serve as an AP Environmental Science and Biomedical Science educator at Virginia Episcopal School, a distinguished boarding academy in the picturesque city of Lynchburg, Virginia. In addition to instruction, I fulfill the Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion role, working to promote a culture of belonging.I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina A&T State University and a graduate degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. I am also an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The opportunity to teach, mentor, and guide students in the sciences brings me tremendous fulfillment. I aim to attain a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies, concentrating my research on cultivating equity in education.In addition to my work at Virginia Episcopal, I founded and operated Equiscape Consulting, LLC. My consulting practice partners with independent and public schools to develop diversity, equity, and inclusion frameworks and provide professional development training for district leaders, school administrators, and teachers.
