Hi, my name is Patrick Pugh, welcome to this little part of the internet I call my own. A little bit about me you should know is that I, like everyone, am full of contradictions. While at first, I seem like an extrovert who’s ready with a joke, quip, or some brutal honesty when necessary. I’m actually at my happiest just by myself playing a video game and watching a movie where I can just unwind and forget the world for a while. This contradiction has shaped me into what I am, and what I want to do for the rest of my life. It is my life goal to become a film critic, as it synergies these two contradictions perfectly, as the job has me sit down and just watch a film or show and then just have me give my thoughts on it. This life goal has taught in how I should express my thoughts, even if I’m not always the best at it.When it comes to films and media I do like to watch, I personally prefer older media, 12 Angry, the original Star Trek series, Columbo, etc. This affinity towards older media allows me to learn from the past and see how they had a difficult doing things back then, that now adays we take for granted in how easy it is now by comparison. This has given me a growing respect for what’s come before.Something else I think you might find interesting about me is that I have unique perspective on certain subjects and what I can bring into projects due to a two-year period in which I lived in Naples, Italy. This brief stint showed me how a different culture might do or look at things that may in a way that might not seem immediately obvious to anyone not from there.
