Having been active photographically since 1985-initially in preparing High Quality Silver Gelatin images for exhibition and sale, i then spent 7 years working in supported accommodation working with adults with learning disabilities,before running a minilab for 12 years , during which time i acquainted myself fully with Digital Photography,using Adobe Photoshop to enhance or improve images,while acknowledging how difficult it can be to create photographs with integrity.Since 2004 i have taught Digital Photography-Art and Design Foundation Courses,and leisure classes,at Borders College Hawick Campus,while continuing to increase opportunities for photographic commissions.2007 Started work with Artbeat Studios in Hawick,2 sessions per week.Opened small studio in Hawick in April 2010,building slowly and steadily,with support and encouragement from June RaffertySpecialties: Photoshop-up to CS4.Canon EOS Digital SLR'S-until Feb 2010,then made the jump to Nikon-using D3s for low light work while mastering EOS 5D video capabilities,it may take a wee while as both devices are quite simply incredible.Due to Ill health I had to close our photography business and haven’t worked since 2019.Seeking to return to work.
