Reporting to the VP, Engineering for the CANDU MONARK standard plant design program. Responsible for technical execution of the product definition scope across all disciplines. For completion of preliminary design, responsible to lead the technical teams executing the design in physics, fuel design, DSA, PSA and licensing. CANDU MONARK is the next generation of CANDU nuclear power plants, leveraging CANDU technology’s tested and reliable design features together with the most modern and advanced engineering solutions. It provides a Canadian solution for utilities faced with meeting the dual demands of Net Zero and energy security.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Moltex Energy Canada on secondment from SNC-Lavalin Nuclear, my role as WATSS Project Director has overall responsibility for the WATSS project. The WATSS (WAste To Stable Salts) process will recycle nuclear waste to produce fuel suitable for a fast reactor. The first WATSS facility is planned to be deployed to in support of the SSR-W reactor which is being pursued for deployment next to the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station. The Project Director is accountable for delivering this project to all cost, schedule and safety requirements, in accordance with the Moltex Energy management system.
