Worked as a student mentor for a Research Methods course. Attended every class and helped the instructor with in-class activities, monitoring class work, proctoring exams, etc. Worked closely with the course instructor to design weekly study sessions for the student, which I would lead.

I worked with a faculty adviser and another undergraduate researcher to investigate methods of engaging community members in the design of a persuasive, interactive display that would be embedded into that community's environment. Following community design meetings, we programmed, constructed, and maintained the display in the community environment. Research was presented as a poster at the 2009 Computer Human Interaction conference.

I worked with two other undergraduate researchers and a faculty adviser to conduct a follow-up to research conducted as a part of a course requirement. The study investigated whether the emotionality of the ostensible "definition" of a novel, foreign word influenced memory for the foreign word.
