As part of my third rotation within the Treasury team, I was hired into a full-time position as an analyst in agreement to continue performing my previous work and then-some.Additional Responsibilities:•Monitor bond portfolio assets to stay within compliance guidelines and correct any data errors within our system.•Provide company data on investments to outside auditing of Standard & Poor and the NCDOI to show Blue Cross is in compliance.•Work with the Federal Home Loan Banks for any collateral positions bond positions that require movement. •Meet with fund managers on quarterly or more regular basis to keep abreast of current status of fund performances.•Utilize portal access to pull documentation and keep a standard of safekeeping of any legal or tax documentations provided by investment funds.Continued Responsibilities:•Provide high level commentary and create slide decks on current status of the company's investment portfolio to leadership.•Manage relationships with current bond managers investment fund managers that the company has stakes in as a primary contact.•Utilize bank portals and investment fund access to fund capital commitments and pay off claims.•Lead projects to better utilize analytical tools and reduce obsolete processes as well as manage our custodian portal.

Rotation Two: Finance - Budget Management Team•Assist in the design, testing, implementation, and company training of new tool to support fall planning cycle.•Work with Budgeting team to navigate and learn Adaptive Insights for end-user budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.•Build out reports & dashboards in tool to prepare learning walkthroughs for user reference.•Perform data validation of reports and models to ensure accuracy of data in new system.•Participate in month-end close to adjust and account for all journal entries submitted.Rotation One: Healthcare - Provider Contracting •Facilitate weekly negotiation meeting involving the company’s contract managers and present accurate status updates on provider health system providers to various stakeholders across the organization.•Create and distribute a Medicare Playbook for the Provider Contracting team to increase the efficiency of searching for important documents while revising any out-of-date information.•Coordinate multiple team events during my rotation such as joining the planning committee for our first ever virtual Statewide Contracting meeting, work with Executive Leadership Team in creating a slide deck presentation for our Out-of-Network strategy being presented to our CEO.
