Farmhand imports and distributes leading machinery brands such as Krone, Amazone, Quicke, APV and Zuidberg through a network of independent dealers throughout Ireland.My role is to manage all warranty claims with all our suppliers. This involves working closely with our dealers and our Service Managers in the field in order to ensure correct procedures are followed.Turnaround times is very important to ensure customers get an excellent aftersales service and I have to be proficient in using CRM MS Dynamics and online customers portals to resolve warranty cases quickly.I manage support calls from dealers and end users in relation to installing or operating a machine from our product range. I support our Dispatch and Sales Departments when ordering kits from Quicke and Zuidberg to match specific tractors by ensuring the correct specs are established and therefore eliminating the risk of wrong kits being ordered.

I was responsible for selling advertising both print and on-line to a portfolio of customers in the Agri Machinery sector. I was responsible for generating the initial leads and selling to those customers and subsequently liaising with them in relation to the design of the advert and which machines were tobe included in that advert. I managed my customers accounts on an ongoing basis to ensure that they were rebooked as required and that the payments due on the account were made on a timely basis.I joined the Farm and Plant Buyers Guide during a very significant transition period for this company as it had been acquired by Sandhills East. This gave me the opportunity to develop new IT skills and learn a lot about using customer relationship management (CRM) programs and website development.

D & S Machinery Limited distributed Landini, McCormick and Solis tractors in Ireland. My primarily role was in the area of Product and Customer Support for the three brands. I had responsibility for a number of the key aspects of the day to day running of the business. These key aspects related to dealer technical support and training, advertising and marketing, warranty and customer after sales service.Providing dealer technical support involves receiving manufacturer training annually in the factory on the latest tractor models. My job required me to be flexible and be available to travel to a dealership on short notice to assist with a technical issue or sales lead.Ensure efficient processing of all warranty claims. This involved checking and processing all claim information in line with the manufacturer rules. Investigate and query unsettled and short paid claims. Assess requests for extra warranty support from a dealer.I was responsible for delivering the marketing strategy created by the manufacturer e.g. Landini and implementing this strategy in the Irish market and within our dealer network. I was the administrator of the online social media accounts for each of the three tractor brands.I enjoyed a good professional working relationship with all the personnel in the dealer network and their customers. I always aimed to address dealer and customer issues as soon as they arise and provide positive solutions. Working in a family business with a small, flexible team had given me greater autonomy and helped me to adapt quickly to a ever changing market.
