My professional background lies in mechanical engineering. I started with an apprenticeship as atechnical drawer at Jakob Müller AG in Frick (CH), where I learned a lot about technical drawingsand how to produce several mechanical parts. During the time at Jakob Müller AG I earned a lotof experience in CAD programs (Catia V5) and tolerances for general mechanical parts.After the apprenticeship, I started my studies in biomedical engineering at the University of AppliedSciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland for Life Science in Muttenz (CH). I gained a lotof knowledge in many fields. We had many interesting modules like environment sustainability,implant development, anatomy, materials engineering.Having finished the Bachelor of Science, I reconsidered to get into something new and interesting.So I decided to apply for FHNW Academy of Art and Design . I started my Master in IndustrialDesign. It was an intense time, where we had the opportunity to carry out interesting projects.The most interesting was to fully design and install an outdoor kitchen for the Swiss embassy inCopenhagen. Beside the projects we had lectures in design research, design cultures and designprocess.Aside from my studies, I have gained experience during an internship at Studio Colony in Basel.The studios core competencies include form finding, concept development, project engineering,redesign and interface to the industry. I was mostly responsible for the technical implementation.Therefore I was using Solidworks to develop the different formprototypes and to printthem via 3D-Print.
