The Southwestern Company was established in Nashville, Tennessee in 1855. Today, the Southwestern Company is a diversified, growing, international, sales-driven, employee owned corporation. Its flagship is the Southwestern Company internship program. College and university students from all over the world participate in the Southwestern Company’s summer program. From these students, companies are started using the capital, support and resources of our business incubator. As a Organization Leader, I get the opportunity to help my Organization build their business. Founded in 1978, the Student Foundation was organized for the purpose of encouraging student leaders to be involved in campus, community, and alumni activities; to enlist outstanding students at Texas State; and to promote the general welfare of the university. The Organization will function as a corps of leaders who assist the University President and other administration in building tradition, spirit, and respectability for Texas State. Student Foundation is devoted to Texas State and is dedicated to serving as representatives of Texas State when exemplary students are needed. Our goal is to increase our involvement in higher-level activities that will give our members opportunities to promote Texas State and Student Foundation.
