Navy / Active Duty - Executive Staff duty at the Headquarters for fleet-wide Surface-Navy training. Responsibilities centered specifically around the Aegis "Fire Control" rate. Major accomplishment was a 2-year "Deep-Dive" into Navy's basic electronic training school at Fleet Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. This led to complete overhaul of the curriculum, transitioning back to conducting instructor-based training instead of relying primarily on computer-based training (CBT). This effort entailed hundreds of hours of reviewing school-house class curriculum, canvassing 3 major fleet concentration areas (Norfolk, San Diego, Groton) to interview senior fleet personnel, and coordinating 2 major "Deep-Dive" conferences (on East & West coasts) in order to identify problem areas and achieve Fleet "buy-in". Effort was highly successful and resulted in better qualified sailors reporting to the Fleet.
