"Developing the Invisible" is my maxim: power electronics as an enabling and sustainable technology should be efficient, robust, small and above all cheap, hence invisible. Having enthusiastically spent 30+ years in power electronics innovation and product development has resulted in a broad experience in all related key aspects. Covered application domains include consumer electronics, (wireless) chargers and solar optimisers, ATEX emergency lighting, LED drivers, all in the range between sub-Watt to kilo-Watt.Developing power solutions that leverage the combined strengths of state-of-the-art analog power electronics and advanced embedded digital control techniques gets me excited. I thrive when applying my skill-set of topology and component knowledge, PCB design and layout, magnetic design, control theory, EMC and thermal design and embedded C-coding in a hands on innovation-to-product project. Being part of a client team where I can contribute in the design and share my knowledge is what I like best.Besides being skilled in the "alchemical art" of power engineering, people tend to call me structured, strongly analytical, independent, flexible and communicative.Remaining leisure time is spent together with my wife and dog, traveling the world to find mountain regions for vigorous hiking, magnificent sceneries and lovely diners.… oh yeah, enjoying a nice (0%) special beer while sitting on the couch watching a smashing football match, is not something I shy away from😀
