• Supervised 350 person department to conduct Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement, Environmental Protection and Emergency response efforts from Lake Charles, LA to Colorado River, TX that included nation's largest Petro-Chemical port complex, 200+ Maritime Transportation Security Act facilities & 3rd largest recreational boating community. • Managed team of 600+ CG personnel to coordinate emergency response efforts for Hurricanes GUSTAV, EDOUARD, and IKE (the nation’s 4th most damaging storm - $27B in damages). Responsible for clean-up of over 240 oil and chemical spills, rescue of over 200 people and overseeing $20M+ re-build of 4 subordinate units.• Partnered with Customs and Border Patrol, Immigration Customs Enforcement, Houston Police, Harris County Sheriffs and Federal Bureau of Investigation to devise overreaching security plan for the Port of Houston. Efforts expedited security checks of deep draft vessels, enhanced enforcement efforts through improved intelligence sharing and resulted in multi-$M savings for industry.
