After 30 years with Grant Thornton UK LLP specialising in governance, culture and regulation in the Financial Services Sector, I have retired from partnership to take on a variety of interesting Non Executive Directorship, Advisory and Quasi-Judicial roles, predominantly in the Financial Services Sector. - Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales; - Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment; - Member of the Financial Markets Tribunal for the Dubai Financial Services Authority;- Member of the Quality Assurance Review Committee of the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board, Ireland.I engage in a variety of pro bono activities such as mentoring senior execs and senior Civil Servants, advisor to a BBC consumer affairs programme, and advisor to an entrepreneur. I am married with two daughters (22 and 24) and enjoy competitive sailing (classic yachts), off-piste skiing, music and literature.
