• Formalised mechanisms to specify how the FRP engages with HRL, Eastleigh Works and other suppliers, their roles and responsibilities which will permit the evolution of productive working relationships.
• Generated a data-driven flexible ‘live’ KPI that ensures the most at-risk trains will be prioritised to be input to the FRP, deconflicts ‘target trains’ from HRL engineering demands and will safeguard Service Level.
• Challenged preconceptions on discrete work packages to explore and ensure the best use of resources was obtained which promoted collaborative transparent working relationships

• Enhanced Train Manager roster coverage at seven Traincrew Depots by developing training packages for 40 new entrant staff to the role of Train Manager, permittingrostering which led to a net overall reduction of.
• Reduced the workload of Resource Managers from 30+ uncovered crew shifts/day to approximately 10 shifts/day, by utilising “limited competency” Train Managers to cover specific suitable shifts.
• Achieved greater degree of flexibility in crew resourcing by negotiating with fully trained crew, redeploying them to other shifts, which made crew coverage as robust as possible.
