In this position Patrick led CHA’s health policy team in representing CHA’s members to government, health stakeholders and the community. In consultation with CHA’s 75 not for profit hospital membership develop proposals on national health reform, policy and financing - particularly focusing on the needs of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. Draft submissions and appear before inquiries (Parliamentary and Departmental) on topics of relevance to CHA’s membership.Represent CHA members in meetings with ministers, ministerial staff and MPs from across the political spectrum. Represent CHA members on government committees and forums: Was a member of Department of Health and Ageing’s: - National Medical Training Advisory Network - Prostheses Working Group, - Chair of the Health Sector Group of the Trusted Information Sharing NetworkLiaise with and maintain good relations with other NGOs operating in the health policy space.
