• Conducting systematic curriculum development and review, ensuring continued excellence in signature programs, creating programs in new and emerging fields, and recommending discontinuance of programs and courses that are no longer viable• Ensuring quality, accuracy, and responsiveness of faculty advising for students enrolled in programs housed in the division, including career and academic advising• Promoting effective use of technology in on-site instruction and delivery of distance learning courses• Ensuring compliance with requirements and standards for regional accreditation with special attention to student learning outcomes in general education• In conjunction with faculty and administrative staff, developing a schedule of classes that provides students with a road map for timely program completion and meets the needs of students and community stakeholders both on and off campus• Providing leadership for special programs and initiatives, to include dual enrollment, early college, and college readiness in conjunction with regional high schools; developmental reading and writing; honors; student cohorts and learning communities; service learning; and global learning and study abroad• Providing oversight for recruitment, development, and evaluation of an excellent and diverse faculty in accordance with applicable policies and procedures• Working with four-year colleges and universities to develop and maintain innovative partnerships that provide pathways for efficient transfer• Producing academic and other reports required by external agencies or for internal decision-making and improvement• Developing and monitoring the division budget to ensure effective and efficientuse of the division’s resources
