I have a master's degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University and a strong background in science journalism and editing. I am currently the science and technology editor at Defense One, a news site dedicated to the future of national security and foreign policy, where I lead the coverage of new uses of tech in warfare, information warfare, cybersecurity, and technology policy among other areas.As the technology editor at Defense One, I have reported on topics such as AI, cybernetics, nanotechnology, genetics, climate change, demography, and emergency management. I have also conducted investigations into Russian and Chinese military activity and U.S. Defense Department activities.
