Employed by the Principal of Raine & Horne Nowra, Shoalhaven Heads and Berry in 2010, I joined the company just after the Berry office was opened. Starting from a zero base within 18 months we became the dominant real estate office in the area and currently out of 14 offices competing in the Berry market we constantly achieve 25-32% share of all property sales for the region.

Sydney Area, Australia

With the demise of Betta Stores Ltd, and as the past Chairman I assisted the directors to purchase the brand names Betta Electrical and Chandlers from the receivers. Following this successful transaction I then set about growing the company by acquiring new member stores and co-ordinating the southern states franchising arrangements with the company BSR and with their suppliers

Nowra, Kiama And Warrawong

Over a period of 18 years started and ran 3 Betta Electrical Franchises on the South Coast. Firstly Nowra, then Kiama and finally Warrawong. At the high point turnover exceeded $8mill per year, we employed 22 staff and the company was quite profitable.The infamous GFC had a profound impact on many types of small to medium business with the 2 main buying groups in the Electrical Retail world including Betta Electrical succumbing to these pressures. I closed all 3 stores ensuring all liabilities were met.

Brisbane Area, Australia

As an individual franchisee with Betta Electrical I was initially elected to the Board in 1996 when the company was an unlisted public company run as a co-operative with over 350 individual member shareholders. In these early years I also served as a member of the Finance and Audit committee ultimately chairing this committee for a number of years.In 2003 I was elected Chairman tasked to take the company from an unlisted co-operative based organisation to a publicly listed company with retail based shareholders alongside the existing member shareholders.

Retained by the parent company in Korea, I was the first Australian manager employed and was tasked to launch the company and the brand "Samsung" onto the Australian market. My duties included all aspects of product sourcing and marketing, premises location, the establishment of interstate branch operations, appointment of support companies such as advertising, custom clearance, transport distribution, insurance etc. I was directly involved in all the initial staff appointments across the entire company. The ongoing role was to assist key staff develop and organise third party service channels and end consumer relationship channels.

I joined National Panasonic Australia (now Panasonic Australia) directly from University Of NSW in the marketing department of the company. My main task were the appliances where the highlights were the growth of Panasonic's market share in microwave ovens from 4% to 38%, and the launch of Panasonic's whitegoods range.Other roles were Group Product Manager "Technics" brand (Panasonic's hifi brand) and ultimately Manager of all the national accounts including Coles/Myer, Harvey Norman, Chandlers and the major buying groups
