Actuarial Analyst
Current- Knowledge of advanced Excel functionality such as what-if data tables, array formulae etc and trained in key design principles of development and audit of Excel models. Experience of building dashboard reports in Excel.
- Developed and worked with a number of example Excel actuarial models to detailed specifications including building and testing a policyholder illustration model in line with FCA COBS guidance including a unit-linked.
- Trained in VBA and general best coding practices and has developed and tested VBA applications including sensitivity analyses, cashflow models and data import.
- Undertook introductory courses in R and Python, covering key syntax and practical examples using popular libraries.
- Databases (Access, SQL): Manipulation and formatting of complex Excel datasets, and interrogation of actuarial data sets using Access queries and SQL.
- Effective written and verbal communication covering topics such as providing client services and technical documentation.
