Intelligence Warfighting Function Observer, Coach/Trainer (OC/T) for an Operations Group at the U.S. Army Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). Responsible for supporting the collective training of the Army's Divisions and multi-functional Brigades in large scale combat operations during Warfighter exercises. Participates in the planning, preparation, and execution of Mission Command Trainingevents and Warfighter Exercises tailored to provide realistic, demanding training and leader development opportunities. Serves as the Battalion S2 for the United Nations Command Security Battalion - Joint Security Area, the only combined Republic of Korea and United States Army Battalion on the Korean peninsula consisting of 710 Soldiers. Provides the combined leadership and staff with Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield products and regular situational updates in support of ongoing operations in the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Oversees the preparation and dissemination of all intelligence products to include North Korean significant activities summaries, Tri-lateral talks, battalion security assessments, and Military Decision Making Process support for operational planning. Responsible for the implementation and execution of all Information, Personnel, and Physical Security programs throughout the battalion. Supports the U.S. Army Sniper School, Mortar Leader's Course, Combatives School, Heavy Weapons Leader Course, and Advanced Situational Awareness Training. Coordinates daily with the Infantry School, Infantry Training Brigade, Basic Combat Training Brigade, and other units to provide support to Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Basic Officer Leader Course, and Captain's Career Course. B Co, 2-29 IN, 197 IN BDE (316 CAV BDE)Executive Officer of a 151 Soldier Heavy Weapons Infantry Training Company consisting of six M1129A1 Stryker MCVs, three M966 HMMWVs, two M1167 HMMWVs, and two cargo trucks; coordinates all training resources for the company; supervises the company training room, the company supply systems, and the execution of Property Book Unity Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) Program; manages the company budget; manages the company property book and associated training equipment worth in excess of $3,500,000. Responsible for coordination between the battalion staff and the company. Manages logistics and personnel in order to support six separate Programs of Instruction, two of which routinely conduct Mobile Training Teams at various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Serves as the Company Commander in his absence.
