Syracuse, New York Area

In this role, I managed $2M in product development costs, coordinating multiple large, complex, multi-phase, and multi-departmental projects from inception through completion for the venerable New Process Gear subsidiary of Magna Powertrain, a one-time leader in automotive parts production for premier brands worldwide. Highlights included helping restore the plant to profitability during my tenure; structuring and organizing key players to meet program objectives by defining roles and responsibilities; and driving the development of new technologies to improve quality and reduce costs.

North East

Creating the East Coast presence for a leading remanufacturer of toner and ink cartridges was the primary focus of this position, which I accomplished by establishing the entire distribution network, from Maine to Virginia, including New York City and New York State.

Rochester, New York Area

This was a highly rewarding assignment in which I managed a client base of commercial printers and prospected for new accounts relative to the sale of paper and graphics supplies. Highlights included increasing sales year-over-year and establishing a profitable customer base in a new territory for a key player in the distribution solutions segment.

Syracuse, New York Area

Recruited to join this Swiss subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson (named for one of the most renowned physician-researchers of the 20th century, Dr. Paul Janssen) my role involved the promotion of healthcare products to 120+ accounts. Although the company elected to move in a different direction market-wide in 2004, I was honored to be a part of this exciting initiative and to consistently finish in the top three regionally for sales production.

Having acquired a deep knowledge of the commercial printing business through my family’s business, Washburn Litho, joining XPEDX represented a natural next step in my career involving the prospecting and sale of printing equipment, graphics, packaging, and facilities supplies directly to commercial and flexographic printers in a sales territory encompassing the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region. Highlights included consistently ranking #2 in Graphics dollar volume in New York State and achieving the highest gross profit growth in the Northeast Branch for 1999.
