As the Director of Human Resources, I spearheaded the strategic planning, direction, and administration of comprehensive HR programs for full-time National Guard personnel. With expertise in recruitment, placement, position classification, labor and employee relations, equal employment opportunities, and employee development, I ensured the optimization of workforce potential. I was responsible for managing a $75 (+) million budget, overseeing financial allocations to support HR initiatives and organizational goals. Additionally, I supported significant organizational realignment initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with strategic objectives, while implementing change management strategies to foster adaptability and resilience within the workforce. Serving as the primary advisor to The State Adjutant General and top officials, I navigated complex HR matters and provided insightful counsel on manpower management. I adeptly developed and implemented state-specific rules and procedures aligned with national policies from National Guard Bureau (NGB) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). By directing and coordinating HR operations, I ensured compliance and drove impactful organizational outcomes.

Principal Staff Officer in charge of overseeing command information messages and community relations services for the Georgia Department of Defense, my responsibilities include developing and implementing communication strategies to achieve GADOD objectives and evaluating program effectiveness. I also facilitate positive engagement between the command, government officials, media outlets, and the public. Additionally, I provide expert analysis and advice to the Adjutant General, TAG staff, and senior state National Guard leaders. I offer guidance on the accuracy, timing, and importance of information dissemination and ensure that Unit Public Affairs Representatives receive proper training and support to maintain professional capabilities. Furthermore, I am responsible for developing and maintaining processes, policies, and procedures for public affairs during mobilization, crisis, and contingency situations.

Assisted the Director of Human Resources, The Adjutant General, and operational leaders on matters related to manpower and human capital management. I developed and implemented state policy, rules, and procedures based on policies from the National Guard Bureau, Office of Personnel Management, Department of the Army, and Department of the Air Force. Alongside the Human Resources Officer, I established and maintained communication with U.S. Office of Personnel Management area offices. Additionally, I oversaw human capital management for all full-time employees within the Georgia National Guard dispersed across the state, focusing on recruitment, position classification, labor relations, equal employment opportunity, and employee development. Under the supervision of the Human Resources Officer, I managed the second largest budget in the Georgia National Guard. I also served as the Internal Control Administrator for the Human Resources Office within the Manager’s Internal Control Program (MICP).

As the Executive Officer to a Major General (State Adjutant General), I was responsible for meticulously planning, preparing, and executing all official events for the Adjutant General. I closely coordinated with various entities including the Georgia Army and Air National Guard, State Defense Force, state agencies, Governor's office, Congressional delegations, the National Guard Bureau, and major commands to ensure seamless joint operations and activities. Additionally, I was often involved in logistical support for events, including air and ground transportation, lodging arrangements, theater and country clearances, and visa procurement. In addition to managing protocol aspects of official events, I synchronized trip itineraries with the units or agencies that the Adjutant General would meet with. I also maintained detailed records of event minutes and followed up to ensure the completion of any outstanding action items. Furthermore, I supported senior-ranking officials, including the Adjutant General, in decision-making processes and managed the overall performance of the Adjutant General's office. As a trusted advisor, I regularly advised the Adjutant General on any command issues that required attention, ensuring efficient and effective leadership at all levels.

Commander for the 221st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Battalion (EMIBn). 221 EMIBn consists of three intelligence companies, one Long Range Surveillance Company, one Cyber Protection Team, and a Detachment to 116th Aerial Intelligence Brigade with a total of 468Soldiers. Responsible for the development, training, and administrative actions required to provide a ready trained force for military support to civil authorities and overseas contingency operations. Provides for the care, welfare, and training of all Soldiers and units within thecommand. Establishes an organization climate of teamwork, mutual trust, cooperation and dedication. Issues command guidance and direction in the areas of: training, recruiting, retention, administration, logistics, and safety.

Serves as the Brigade Operations Officer (S3) for the 560th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (BFSB). Principal staff officer for all matters concerning plans, future operations, safety, budget, force development and modernization for a 1100 + Soldier brigade composed of a military intelligence battalion, reconnaissance and surveillance squadron, network signal company, brigade support company, and a quartermaster rigger company. Manages planning, development, resourcing, and execution of the command training program and organization inspection program. Oversees operations, planning, training, safety, and an extensive supporting budget. Engaged in coordination and publication of operational plans, orders and procedures. Reviews and analyzes information in order to makes operational recommendations to the Commander. Performs staff assistance visits, inspections, and safety oversight during all brigade level operations.

Commands the Georgia National Guard Joint Force Headquarters Detachment. Responsible for all personnel actions, retention activities, promotions, transfers, reassignments, separations, and logistical support for over 600 personnel assigned. Coordinates actions between seven cross functional teams for the execution of personnel, training, medical, and logistical operations. Develops the command’s operational training plans, policies, and directs resources. Serves as the Installation Commander of 200,000 + sq ft Armed Forces Reserve Center supervising security personnel, and 6 civilian employees responsible for maintenance, administration, and occupation management of the facility.

Executive Officer for a Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (BFSB) Military Intelligence Battalion (BN) consisting of over 290 Soldiers organized in to an HHC, and 3 multi discipline companies. Responsible for directing staff during planning operations and the synchronization of intelligence collection assets. Advise the Commander, direct the staff and support company commanders, provide for readiness, training and maintenance of the Battalion. Ensure various staff sections function in a synchronous manner to support the commander's intent. Direct and implement safety control measures into all operations. Lead, teach, coach and mentor the BN Staff. Serve as the BN AO; supervise 24 FTM personnel. Manage a $1M+ annual budget and maintain property in excess of $30M.

Principal staff officer for all matters concerning plans, future operations, safety, budget and force development and modernization for a 1100 + Soldier brigade composed of a military intelligence battalion, reconnaissance and surveillance squadron, network signal company, brigade support company and a quartermaster rigger company. Manages the planning, development, resources, and execution of the command training program. Oversees operations, planning, training, safety and a budget of over $2M along with preparation, coordination and publication of operational plans, orders and procedures. Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on, and coordinates the execution of operations, training, development and transformation. Performs staff assistance visits, inspections and safety oversight during all brigade operations.

Combat Tour: The Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) Intelligence Officer is the coordinating staff officer for all matters concerning the enemy and/or threat, the environment as it affects the enemy, and counterintelligence. The S2 provides intelligence support to the targeting process, including participating in the targeting meetings, developing high-value targets (HVT), and tracking high-payoff targets (HPT). The IBCT S2 synchronizes intelligence support with combat and ISR operations through close coordination with the Brigade Commander, Deputy Brigade Commander, Brigade Executive Officer, and Brigade Operations Officer. In addition, the S2 works with the IBCT Provost Marshal to plan and execute physical security programs. The S2 is responsible for intelligence readiness, intelligence tasks, intelligence synchronization, and other intelligence support. The S2 serves as the security manager for the IBCT.
