Analysing results in compliance to company internal, government and client specifications.Everyday duties include:• Carrying out standard sample testing such as density, viscosity, solar heat reflectance, water content titrations, IR, colour, visual particle checks, observations in different materials such as sea water and hydraulic fuels and adhesion to primer tests.• Working fast and efficiently to ensure that customer demands are met to further the businesses’ success. • Keeping controlled documentation contemporaneous and accurate, recording results, machinery, and reagents used.• Checking batch documents and results, deeming the batch ready for approval and can be delivered to the customer.• Reporting out of specification results to team leaders and managing staff so the batch can be adjusted and retested.• Preparing samples and using paint guns to spray the samples onto the required metals and primers ready for testing.• Keeping an organised diary of testing and events during post fill analysis to keep track of testing dates as some samples are soaked in materials for numerous days before they are tested further.• Use and maintenance of testing equipment such as KF titrators, colour meters and IR spectrophotometers.• Use, maintenance and restocking of PPE such as ventilator helmets, nitrile gloves and spray booth filters.• Maintaining GLP to ensure the lab remains in a tidy state so hazards can be identified and sample deviations such as contamination and incorrect sample preparation is avoided.

Gained 4 and a half years of experience as a laboratory analyst (3 years as an apprentice, 1 and a half as a contracted analyst) starting in the Cephalosporins laboratory testing antibiotic suspensions and tablets.
