THE THETA TAU MISSIONFounded at the University of Minnesota in 1904, Theta Tau is the nation's oldest and foremost Fraternity for Engineers. Over 30,000 have been initiated over the years. With emphasis on quality and a strong fraternal bond, the fraternity has chapters only at ABET accredited schools. Theta Tau carefully follows a program in the selection and development of its members that stresses the importance of high professional ethics and exemplary practices. Within each chapter, the Fraternity stimulates professional activity and social compatibility; provides a framework for group participation in campus, community, engineering, and fraternity affairs; and promotes lasting friendships - a lifetime of brotherhood in an engineering environment. Through national conferences and conventions, there is an annual opportunity to associate with fraternity brothers (students and alumni) from chapters across the nation.

• Oversaw pledge class of 30 members and 4 committees through daily reminders, weekly meetings, and check-ins with committees/committee chairs to ensure the class meets all requirements for the pledging process on time.• Formulated and developed 50 in-person fundraisers to raise over $7,150 for future chapter events. • Coordinated 1 professional development event, 2 brotherhood events, and 1 service event to grow members' professionalism, brotherhood, and service qualities.

• Tested and wrote 4 protocols covering more than 90 requirements for a comparison tool used extensively for data verification• Collaborated with Remote tool developers. Facilitated clear and consistent communication through weekly meetings, email chains, and task summarization• Programmed in SQL using Microsoft SQL Studio to acquire raw data for tool verification• Ran assay tests on the Hologic Panther diagnostics instrument and gained a start-to-finish understanding of data generation

• Set tables, served food, cleaned theaters, and performed customer service to maintain a quality environment for customers• Performed expo duties and managed the quality of food and concessions sent out while communicating with staff• Checked inventory and restocked products when managers were preoccupied

Research Project: Rubber: The Exploitation of People and Nature - Mentor: Professor Christine Hunefeldt• Researched the rubber trade’s past and how it affected nature, people, and government. Connected rubber’s historical events to thesocioeconomic trends in forward-linkage techniques. Prepared documents for weekly meetings with the professor, created a researchposter, and presented it at the UCSD MAP Symposium
