I've had the opportunity to put my communication skills to work in many different life experiences. I am an Eagle Scout, my years in the Boy Scouts taught me the importance of community service, team work, as well as the importance of setting your own goals and achieving them. During my time in the Navy, I worked in the professional environment of the Public Affairs Office on the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Working directly under the Head of the Department, LT John Perkins, my military discipline and organizational communication skills were fine tuned, as I worked diligently to manage and organize personnel records as well as write instructions for public affairs events that adhered to the strict military guidelines.
