Working with colleagues in preparation for the Grand Opening of Southwest Regional Library on April 20, 2024!

Met the needs of library patrons by creating and updating accounts, locating materials and resources, answering policy-related and procedural questions, troubleshooting patron-account issues, and referring patrons to other information sources. Assisted patrons seeking opportunities to practice their English and Spanish by cohosting our monthly bilingual Cafecito y Charla program. Served on the Spanish Language Committee to address the needs of Union County's Latinx residents.

My short story "Sunroom" recently appeared in Crimeucopia - Totally Psycho Logical, an anthology of mystery and crime fiction.I've developed web content for Katala Outdoors, an outfitter in western North Carolina that offers guided fishing and hunting trips, in addition to writing for many online and print publications on topics ranging from history, music, the arts, and popular culture. Conducted software testing and created test plans for information technology systems under development, in addition to compiling requirements, functional specifications, and end-user documentation.

Performed functional and validation testing for system-wide software implementations to ensure that all features met university standards and the needs of students, faculty and staff. Trained faculty and staff on new Banner Student and DegreeWorks features prior to implementation. Evaluated all employee requests for access to the Banner Student module and DegreeWorks to ensure that prospective users met university requirements and understood the need to protect student information. Conducted presentations at national and regional conferences about UNC Charlotte's successful implementations of Ellucian Banner Student and DegreeWorks enhancements. Supported students and employees by troubleshooting system glitches and answering questions about how to properly use university software.

Taught seated, blended, and online history courses that spanned from antiquity to the present.

Served as a liaison between management, Information Services, the Strategic Planning and Analysis Unit, and the users of CASES applications and databases to ensure that these tools met the needs of users and kept pace with changes in CASES operations, policies and procedures.

Worked with programmers, management, and end users to modify the Case Management Information System (CMIS), a documentation and evaluation tool for assisting over 60 direct-services staff members, who monitor the performance of participants in CASES' Court Employment Project (CEP).

Assisted with the rollout of the Case Management Information System (CMIS) by training end users, documenting system problems and helping the programmers with troubleshooting.

Wrote and edited report narratives for court-involved youth which were submitted to justices of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.

Taught World Civilization classes and served on the Teaching Committee.
