The internal application is in Silverlight 3.0 with asynchronous calls to a web service layer and the external application is in Web Forms. Successfully launched sales promotion project with multi-criteria admin interface, modifications to search results, checkout, and order confirmation pages. Successfully launched project in the Silverlight app to toggle FedEx shipping rate retrieval between external web service calls and internal DB access (when the FedEx rate web service is down).

Worked within CQRS framework that was built against .NET 4.0/C# and utilized MS MVC 5 with Ninject DI for the presentation layer. Majority of time was spent building logic to traverse property appraisals converted into XML and then uploaded by third party appraisal services into a FTP share on a daily basis. To an existing console app that 'listened' to several FTP shares I added logic that issued an asynchronous event within the CQRS framework. The 'event' was a C# class containing identifying attributes about the XML document. Each event when issued was mapped into a message that was relayed to one of several Microsoft MSMQ servers. A Windows Service ‘listener’ picked up new messages and then executed a C# command handler that I created to fetch appraisals and then use logic built with XSD generated representations of the appraisal XML documents. In order to differentiate between versioned XML documents, I utilized a strategy pattern within the command handler to execute the correct XGen code base. Data points were extracted, validated, and then persisted to SQL Server 2012 DB tables via repository class (utilizing ADO.NET and stored procedure calls). Wrote unit tests for same.

Worked on framework level functionality consisting of 14 VS2K10/C# projects designed to run as one application. This functionality exploited eleven separate SQL Server 2008 databases. Several of the Visual Studio solutions mapped to high level business concepts (policy, claims, billing, reporting etc.); with multiple solutions running as web services and two designed to be main entry points into application functionality. IIS requests were injected via HTTP module directly into the framework where custom control building then took place.

Implementation of functionality in an ASP.NET/C# website handling expedited freight transactions on admin, corporate, agent, carrier, and customer levels. This was an application with an exceptionally high set of business rules. We used SQL Server 2008 for our backing store, class libraries for a business logic layer and a data access layer (with abstracted CRUD), and ASP.NET controls exclusively in the presentation layer. This website used Form Authentication in conjunction with custom role and membership providers. I added a test harness to this project in order to expedite the development process (this allows me to bypass the presentation layer when stubbing out logic in the BLL and DAL). With this upgrade I had been afforded many opportunities to build functionality across all tiers; from the ground up and with the freedom to design and build according to my interpretation of S.O.L.I.D.

Final project before departure was on major site upgrade involving 160+ pages of customizations made to CareTech’s core CMS product.Took over and completed Continuing Medical Education module based on 77 page client supplied specification after several team members opted out. Module was built in ASP.NET 4/C# with VS 2010, SQL Server 2008, Subsonic ORM, and jQuery UI & AJAX functionality. Worked with client side business analyst and project manager, utilizing an agile lite methodology for project management. Module (450+ hours to complete) was added to client’s CareTech CMS implementation and contains over 50 .aspx and .ascx pages, 12 utility classes (placed in the App-Code folder), 20 database tables, and a web service returning XML for end user post-test ‘save and quit’ functionality. Module can be easily converted to fit other business needs where testing and test tracking are required (new hires, performance evaluation, etc.). Perform customization and feature development for Content Management System based healthcare web sites created in ASP.NET/C# versions 1.1, 2.0, 3.5, and 4 - utilizing Subsonic and LINQ to SQL ORM with SQL Server 2000/5/8.Performed web site conversions – converting CMS sites built in ASP.NET 1.1 to sites built in ASP.NET 4Assigned and started working on service request and problem tickets on day one of employment. Assigned as full time CareTech liaison for major hospital in Cincinnati, OH in which ticket volume went from 10-12 service requests per week to 5-10 per day.
