- Hired seven grant-funded Disease Intervention Specialists to investigate COVID-19 cases in K-12 schools throughout Washington, D.C., and supervised their progress- Investigated an average of 15 COVID-19 positive staff and student case consultations per week from K-12 schools within D.C. to identify epidemiologic links, validate identified close contacts, and ascertain ways for facilities to prevent spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus- Educated and provided technical support to ground-level points of contact across the 300+ D.C. K-12 schools regarding contact tracing, COVID-19 information, and health department guidance - Fostered strategic partnerships between DC Health and entities including the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) at least once per week to build connections, inform policy decisions, and provide updates on current COVID-19 trends- Utilized NBS, CRISP, and Salesforce to augment epidemiologic investigations

- Engineered the administration of the university’s contact tracing program day-to-day to maintain an average COVID-19 positivity rate of under 1% in the dynamic field of pandemic prevention- Collaborated with senior university and community stakeholders to ensure communication of analyses and overall satisfaction - Liaised with the pandemic management software vendor, Point and Click, as the primary information technology (IT) representative for 4 months - Trained and managed the contact tracing force by delegating tasks, providing executive decisions on guidance, and personally investigating over 250 GWU COVID-19 cases and contacts within 24 hours- Composed English and Spanish evidence-based university guidance, public policies, interview scripts, and educational materials to increase health literacy and adherence to COVID-19 guidelines- Oversaw the development of and implemented a COVID-19 social media campaign hosted by the GWSPH Instagram account- Maintained quality and cleanliness of REDCap, Box, and public facing dashboard data through daily and weekly checks - Established connections with Boston University’s contact tracing team for knowledge sharing and served as the University lead contact for the inaugural 2021 Boston University Contact Tracing Summit by coordinating with presenters and representatives from both GWU and BU

-Communicated with approximately 10 confirmed COVID-19 cases from diverse cultural backgrounds per week through in-depth interviews to identify and stop potential community spread of COVID-19 in Fairfax County, Virginia-Consulted and distilled complex scientific knowledge to counsel non-scientific audiences and provide counseling for developing a strategy to handle isolation-Utilized the Virginia state government database, VEDSS, and MITRE’s Sara Alert system to manage a caseload while gaining an understanding of government processes and hierarchies

-Managed and evaluated Nielsen retail sales data set spreadsheets of over 20,000 unique products and nationwide sales figures to identify areas for future tobacco prevention research -Crafted an online anti-vaping curriculum for students by exploring policies and evidence as part of a collaboration between Everfi and Truth Initiative-Analyzed EVALI-focused Reddit and Twitter posts for future social media-based social and behavioral change campaigns using qualitative content analysis for Truth Initiative/NORC project

-Analyzed 12 Spanish-speaking healthcare professional interviews through thematic qualitative analysis to identify facilitators and barriers to Hepatitis C treatment in Puerto Rico -Evaluated qualitative data of 37 transwomen from the 2019 DC Health Transgender HIV Behavioral Surveillance data to identify social determinants of health impacting transgender women in the DMV-Developed evidence-based guidance in a report format for local organizations working with transgender and Latinx populations to improve health outcomes -Composed journal article manuscripts, conducted literature reviews, co-facilitated bilingual focus groups with approximately 10 participants, and translated English/Spanish study materials-Implemented the first Translatin@ Caucus in DC by engaging with participants, leading Spanish-speaking focus groups, and compiling participant thoughts on areas for future intervention

-Marketed the Milken Institute School of Public Health recruitment campaign by engaging and providing customer service to 300+ prospective and admitted students through tours, panels, events, and one-on-one discussions both virtually and in person-Coordinated with a team of 12 students and staff to lead influential events while liaising between multiple school-wide departments

-Evaluated academic and personal behaviors of approximately 70 diverse undergraduate students on academic probation at the George Washington University to impact student-perceived success-Coached positive behavioral change, health changes, and academic success by assessing each individual and crafting a unique weekly approach to address perceived and actual barriers like time management, mental health, and low self-efficacy

-Educated 500+ students K-10 on how to learn English with games, interpersonal peer communication, and one on one tutoring for the Spanish Ministry of Education in four schools in La Gomera, Spain and Córdoba, Spain while exploring global cultures and practicing cultural humility

I help promote the College by sharing personal experiences and knowledge with prospective students through tours and information sessions.

As a mentor, I help incoming freshmen acclimate to college life in their first semester by working closely with a freshmen seminar I have been assigned. I answer questions and help them become involved in the school to ensure they have the best college experience and are working to their full potential
