Was responsible for design, development and secure installation and support for customers in the Intelligence and Military community. Changed the group development process from individually build tools to a comprehensive suite of applications. Made major improvements in infrastructure, deliverability and quality of software. Implemented design sessions with individual contributors and enforced strict design patterns and testing practices. Designed and implemented the multithreaded, fault-tolerant CARS system that processes video information post video capture through a series of custom plug-ins. This allowed for powerful processing of video information for extracting and sharing video data with third party systems (such as the BBN ITrack system). All development done in Java 2 with XML/XSL on Apache Tomcat/Struts platform.
