In this role I have been exposed to various areas of International Treasury Management. I have had direct exposure using Excel to analyze incoming/outgoing wire activity, analysis of imports/exports using Panjiva and continual documentation of trade items going through our pipeline. I have also had the opportunity to support PNC's European Initiative which aims to open branch operations in Ireland and the UK, allowing PNC to grow with our clients.

In this role, I lead a team of employees throughout their shift while actively coaching new hires. I also must check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age by using the F.E.A.R. method of carding. Through my time in this role, my responsibilities have only grown. I oversaw the opening of an outdoor patio bar in the summer of 2018 where I had to train new staff and develop new policies. By holding staff meetings and setting forth expectations, I was able to contribute to the overall 50% increase in sales from May-August. My other duties include creating promotional materials and booking entertainment to play on the patio.

In this role, I audited $500,000 in sales over 4 months for theft and computer errors using Aloha POS and QuickBooks. One of my biggest tasks was preparing and establishing a 40-page employee handbook used as a tool to both evaluate staff and update company policy. Every week I also properly categorized and reconciled daily sales, deposits, and expenses using QuickBooks and PNC’s Online Banking interface. Being an accounting intern I was also responsible for processing biweekly payroll for 40 employees using reports from Aloha POS and entering this information through ADP Payroll, ensuring all data was correct. Towards the end of my internship, I prepared both quarterly and yearly reports used as an aid in the paying of business income, sales, and employer payroll taxes. Using these reports I also created and presented a tentative, comprehensive $1.5 million budget for the 2019 year based on the past three years’ spending.

In my role as an intern, I actively used technology such as Quantitative Risk Management, Essbase, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft Excel to analyze the impact that interest rate changes have on the balance sheet which ultimately impact PNC's NII. Working alongside a team of four other individuals, we compile monthly and yearly forecasts to present to upper management. My specific role on the team involves completing daily reports to show day over day changes as well as using regression analysis in Excel to determine the most appropriate and reliable measurement to forecast data.Throughout the internship I am also working alongside a team of four other interns to complete a capstone project explaining the supporting role AMG Finance has on AMG as a whole. Our project specifically focuses on the role AMG Finance has played in AMG's recent divestitures to properly align with their strategic plan.

I was responsible for not only preparing all beverages for the function but also ensuring the cleanliness of the bar area.
