My work with the company can be summarized in three primary roles:Logistical OperationsIn charge of purchase order entry, as well as invoicing virtually all incoming customer PO's as well as keeping track of shipping times and order processing. I am in charge of orders received and processed through e-commerce as well and oversee all purchases and coupons created through our online store. I also manage inventory levels and account details for a few of our vendor e-commerce accounts. In addition I process any credits requested by customers and fill out purchasing and vendor documents such as NAFTA certificates, W9's and new product templates.Customer SupportI am the principal point of contact with customers and distributors for Megapro. I handle customer service requests, such as product information, availability, warranty information as well as pricing and shipping information for vendors and distributors. I manage the website contact email which can experience high traffic as our website has received as many as 4000 unique visitors per month. I also work with promotional product customers who require sales information and have provided new customers with setup information and pricing, going as far as generating some sales and purchase orders myself. Graphic DesignA year into my tenure with Megapro I took over the graphic design duties, as well as maintaining my other roles within the company. This included providing custom imprint mock ups for customers, creating sell sheets for existing and new products, logo creation for new products and recently a revamping of our product catalog. In addition I have created collateral for Megapro's involvement in the 2014 Vancouver Home + Design Show. I have also created custom display artwork and other design collateral for distributors. In just two short months, myself and a group of three other interns were charged with creating greater brand awareness as well as support material and social media content for LocAZu, a website providing a variety of services for post secondary students, including textbook sales, study materials and course/prof reviews. I was teamed up with another individual to focus on… Show more In just two short months, myself and a group of three other interns were charged with creating greater brand awareness as well as support material and social media content for LocAZu, a website providing a variety of services for post secondary students, including textbook sales, study materials and course/prof reviews. We initially brainstormed a marketing strategy as well as brand position to establish for the relatively new company. I was teamed up with another individual to focus on development of images and videos based around the exploits of Dr. LocAZu, the brand character who is constantly "wrestling" with issues post secondary students would encounter.With a virtually non-existent budget we were able to film three videos depicting the main problems Dr. LocAZu would encounter as a student and presenting LocAZu.com as a solution to those problems. In addition we created a YouTube channel for LocAZu and would work through other social media outlets including Facebook and Twitter to drive traffic and viewership to the channel.Overall it was a very fun and creative experience and I was able to work on developing a brand character and identity from the ground up, something I find very interesting within the realm of marketing. The work was very grass roots and having virtually no money or resources at our disposal, we had to be very creative and solve quite a few logistical issues along the way.
