I have been working on a fixed term contract to facilitate 'HellermannTyton UK' upgrading their ERP System. The ERP application (Aurora - System 21) is IBM based. It is used across multiple manufacturing sites as well as the Head Office and the dedicated Group Warehouse. (7 sites in all).My duties have been to coordinate the overall upgrade project including managing 3rd party technical resources, planning and organising UAT, managing risks and issues and giving full support to the 'Head of ERP' including progress management and documentation.I have really enjoyed the work at HT and think it might have been a bit premature to take early retirement a few years ago. Consequently, I am now looking for another position. One where my experiance can help provide real value to the organisation.

Dabs, as part of BT, have access to much greater resources then I was used to at VIP plus there is an understanding that software development is a collaborative exercise across the whole company. I was responsible for all IT services and functionality across the group. The department included 11 full time employees, plus contractors from time to time. I was part of a management team that reported to the ‘Group Chairman’.During 8 years with VIP the company expanded significantly into the Group it now is. I was instrumental in driving forward the IT contribution to the corporate success. However, having achieved all I could within the group I felt it was time to look for a new challenge.
