My goal as the ISS Teacher is to help every student stay focused on their education by providing a space for them to work out any issues that may be preventing them from being successful. I also act as a liaison between parents and administration when it comes to assisting struggling students. I am the first step in the disciplinary model, which is to provide a "buddy room" for students.

Student teaching has given me the opportunity to fine-tune my teaching skills and really learn what kind of teacher I am. My teaching style is fun yet productive, and I take the time to build rapport with students. It's important to me that my students are really learning about their health and fitness, the history of sports and how important their physical health is, rather than just playing games. Collected data shows that roughly 85% of my students are truly learning skill-sets they can carry with them the rest of their lives.
