Duties included but not limited to:• Assisting in the overall conversion of the entire Caterpillar Large Mining Truck fleet, overseeing all changes in the Teamcenter system were reflected in the old CAPP+ system. Per month, this would be at least 150 changes over the entire line of trucks, meaning maintaining both systems simultaneously until CAPP+ is shut down when all orders are in the Teamcenter system so it can go live plantwide.• Doing engineering changes (new part to truck, update to existing part, change from eng. dept., etc) for the line of trucks I was responsible for (793). Also assisted team members with their changes as well whenever possible to help move the process along as quickly as possible, keeping track of everything via Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.• Assist fellow team members with learning the new Teamcenter software that everyone will eventually be using full time.• Reporting process of truck line conversion plan to Neena Varghese, Group II Manager, in order to ensure project deadlines.• Troubleshooting problem orders from the production line that were received and making corrections on the current CAPP+ software, as well as Teamcenter, keeping track of all of this via Excel spreadsheet.• Pointed out any issues encountered in the new system while performing my duties with Neena as well as and training administrator Rich Banning so they could be addressed in future training sessions or by IT.
