Gutted a retired development cycle program and re-wrote parts of it into a customer service issue tracking system. Successfully deprecating dozens of programs and providing a much needed tracking program along with automated reporting.Technologies: Progress 4GL, Unix, Perl, Jira, Turtle SVN, PuttyTook over full support for Oasis website as the original design team dispersed, learning the relevant languages and technologies as needed. As the site had just completed an over-haul to update its design I was able to build my knowledge of its design by fixing increasingly challenging bugs. Since that time I have helped stabilize the system as well as expand its functionality to keep up to changing demands. I had been shifting to primarily assisting with customer support, maintenance and confirming technical specs as needed by the iPage(intended replacement) team when Coutts was sold to Proquest. I then wrote documentation and packaged up OASIS to be handed off before moving on to new opportunities.Technologies: C#, ASP .Net, Java-script, IIS, Mongo, SQL. Designed a UI using vb.net that would allow users to easily load data collected on palm pilots into an access database. Constructed a help function to assist users in using the database. Taught system to intended users as well as worked with users to refine UI to their needs. Completed documentation on design and use in order to allow for future students to readily work with the database and UI.

Write software to help manage mass management of data files as well as to create input files for modeling programs. Had to debug and complete partially finished project from last student. Wrote documentation to support projects which included a tutorial on the use of partially completed project. Had to research and self educate to complete projects as no experienced developers existed on site. Helped with tech support issues and provided some minor consultation on future technology purchases.

Entrusted with management of sensitive data. Primary duties involved cycling through stored files in order to remove erroneous papers leaving only pertinent data in each file as preparation for microfilming their old records. Later took records that had been returned from microfilming and input them into a database so they could be readily searched. Received various training including first aid, WHMIS and environmental protection.

Worked in the yard sorting lumber for appropriate use within. Later worked as part of the assembly line stacking cut wood into panels ready to be glued. Assisted in rearranging heavy equipment used in manufacturing in order to stream line process, including minor rewiring as required.

Trained in maintenance and use of hand tools. Assisted in various tasks including park maintenance in Sandbar provincial park and clearing canoe trails around that area. Learned leadership skills in enforcing anti-harassment laws and through taking a peace keeping position among fellow employees.
