Concierge at a 5 star Hotel in Canberra located in Barton, also assisting with the other hotels in the Realm precinct; Burbury Hotel, Little National Hotel and Brassey Hotel.Duties (on call with 2 way radio):Concierge – Open every car door in the driveway. Greeting guests, giving them information regarding the hotel, local attractions, what’s on and restaurants, which we also make reservations. Also giving guests room shows of the different types of rooms and escorting guests to rooms especially the penthouse.Guest services – Delivering dry cleaning/ laundry, letters from reception, event tickets, mail, for guests to rooms and also doing a status check of rooms for guests who haven’t checked out by the checkout time or have left without checking out to help with bags if not gone already. Generally to make every guests stay as enjoyable as possible.Porter – storing bags for guests, taking all guests bags to rooms with porter trolley, organize bag drops for regular guests and for guests who arrive in the morning. Bag drops for big sporting teams.Valet – Driving all guests that request valet parking to the hotel car park and driving them back up on request. Guest amenities – Organize chocolates/ champagne/ fruit bowls and a note for VIP’s and regulars, also setting up wedding night rooms with flowers. Organizing special requests such as cheese platters and fruit bowls and deliver to rooms on arrival. Room service – On call room service when needed delivering meals to rooms. Taking ice buckets and implements to guests on request.Housekeeping – Assisting housekeeping in making and taking fold out beds to rooms and delivering extra room amenities on request.Maintenance – After hour’s maintenance helping with room faults/ instructions on how to use the TV, microwave oven, A/C, washing machine/ dryer, room key, Wi-Fi network, phone and using the circuit breaker when needed. Laundry – Assisting with laundry after hours including washing, drying and ironing.
