Manage the operation of a sixty-six room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hotel featuring a large waterpark.

Operated two distinct lines of business, an independent HRIS consulting business and a commercial photography, social media and content marketing business.

Provided sales support and pre-sales consulting for the Microsoft Dynamics GP human resources and payroll products and JAT’s supporting products. Performed post-sales consulting and implementation of products. Communicated with prospects to learn their organization and needs for a human resources system; presented solutions focused on their individual needs. Supported sales team by providing detailed information on product scope and fit for each prospect. Devised and implemented project plans and maintained status documents for all projects.

Rendered pre-sales support to Microsoft’s partner channel and Microsoft corporate accounts. Developed demonstration scripts for Microsoft partners. Interviewed both partners and prospects to gain a strong understanding of each organization’s business rules, needs, hot issues and pain points. Presented both onsite and remote product demonstrations to prospects. Worked closely with other technical specialists in presenting solutions that involved other products/modules. Trained various groups of up to 20 participants on human resources and payroll software.

Developed requirements specifications for the design of Great Plains human resources software product. Consulted with clients on identifying appropriate human resources and payroll solutions, as well as the implementation and utilization of the human resources and payroll system. Represented Great Plains human resources and payroll software to national media and industry consultants. Implemented software on client networks. Presented on a variety of topics to large audiences at national conferences. Acquired by Microsoft.

Worked in a number of roles during my tenure at ICONtrol including: Product Trainer - where I would instruct customers on how to use the ICONtrol human resources software; Product Planner - where I worked with support, marketing and developers in scoping new functionality for our human resources software; Human Resources Manager - managed the HR functions for the organization (as well as filling in at sister companies on an interim basis); and Corporate Trainer for ICONtrol and its sister companies.Acquired by Great Plains Software.
